"Seeds For Life"
Happy to have you visit! The small volunteer group known as the Dan McMurray Community Seed Bank became a non-profit society in 2021. We grow and store a wide variety of vegetable seeds here in the beautiful Creston valley to enhance food security. Enjoy your stroll around our site ...
Seedy Saturdays (and Sundays) are collaborative, community-focused events that connect people through a vital aspect of our food system: seeds. These one-day seed selling fairs and knowledge transfer events across Canada are opportunities to engage, educate, and inform the public about seeds at the local level. Seedy Saturdays empower growers of all levels to use open-pollinated and heritage seeds, exchange seeds within their communities, and share their seed-saving and environmentally responsible gardening practices. The Creston Community Seed Bank will have seeds available by donation. All seeds are genetically pure, open-pollinated, climate-adapted and ecologically grown. -FarmFolk CityFolk
The Creston Seedy Saturdays will be held at the Creston Valley Farmers' Market on:
February 11, March 4 and March 25 from 10am to 1pm!
Seeds grown by the Seed Bank will be available by donation.
All seeds are genetically pure, open-pollinated, climate-adapted and ecologically grown.
You'll also be able to sign up to be a member, and learn more about becoming a volunteer or Home Grower (growing seeds for the society). Board members and our Project Coordinator will be available to chat and answer your gardening questions!
The Creston Valley Farmers' Market is located at the
